FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
Before you book with me, we can figure out how many hours will be necessary for me to photograph. I want to make sure you don't overbook or underbook my services! Usually, clients have me start 1 - 1 1/2 before their ceremony. This allows me to get shots of your dress, accessories, candid photos of you with your girls, along with the groom and his groomsmen. I will also sneak in the ceremony room and grab a few before shots also (if possible). After the ceremony, you will designate a family member or friend to gather everyone's family members to get some family photos. From there, we will get the bridal party together for group shots, groomsmen, bridesmaids, then the bride and groom for all of their shots. After those shots, I will head back to the reception to get some detailed shots of your set up, decorations, guests, and everything in-between! I recommend clients booking me until 3 hours after dinner to make sure I can photograph your reception events. If you want me there to get some tipsy shots of Uncle Bob, I can be there for that too!
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Vassar, Michigan. I prefer to stay in the mitten state, and local to my current city. If your wedding is further than 1 hour of distance, still ask me and we may be able to work something out!
Travel fees will apply if services are needed outside of the tri-cities.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 4 weeks. This will depend on how busy I am with other weddings/shoots, and/or the holiday season. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, and choose your favorites!
How many pictures will we receive?
It really depends on how many hours you book me for, how many events you have planned during the day, downtime, etc. Typically, a 6 hour wedding receives around the 300-image range. I do not include many duplicate poses, as I only choose the best photo out of each pose. Myself and my clients have prefered this so that way you don't receive an overflow of a lot of the same images. Don't worry though, I will not leave any important photos out! Just duplicates and/or blurry photos :)
Can I make payments?
Of course! A $500 deposit will be required in order to book with me to reserve your wedding day. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding day. You can make payments at any time!
Can I book you for more or less than the hours in your packages?
If you only need 2 hours to cover your ceremony, that's totally fine! I charge $500/hour for a la carte hours, and you will receive all of your photographs.
As of right now, I am not offering any packages for my time over 8 hours.
If you need me for additional time with your wedding package, I charge $375/hour (due at time of request), and it will include all additional photographs taken within that time.
What do the complimentary engagement packages include?
As a 'thank-you' for booking me for my wedding services, receive a complimentary engagement session.
It includes a 30-45 minute photoshoot, a professionally edited online gallery, and 10 digital images.
Additional images or the entire collection are available for purchase as well.
*There will be NO substitutions in place of the engagement session if you do not need it.*
